Defender Alexander Djiku expressed his delight after playing for Ghana in the 5-1 win over Qatar on Monday afternoon.

Last month, the defender of the Strasbourg team won his first call to play for the Black Star team, when coach CK Akonnor appointed his 23-man lineup as a friendly for this international competition.

Last Friday, he played in midfield. Unfortunately, Ghana lost 3-0 at the hands of the Mali Eagles at the Emir Hotel Stadium.

Today, Alexander Djiku got into action when the Black Stars defeated Qatar Maroons 5-1 in a similar friendly match.

He entered social media after the game and the central defender said he was proud of the first two games played by the Ghanaian senior national team.

“It’s an honor to have played my first two games with #BlackStars! I am very happy to win for the first time.
