Ukraine military: We’re hitting Russia with high precision strikes

Ukraine’s military administration says its troops targeting Russian-held Kherson have successfully “destroyed warehouses, weapon accumulations and enemy control points with high precision strikes” as part of their counter-offensive.

Troops have also managed to cause damage to “bridges across the Dnipro”, officials said in a message posted to Telegram, making it “possible to cut off the Russian army from the supply of weapons and personnel from Crimea”.

Russian state news agency Tass reports Russia is using air defence systems in an attempt to fend off Ukrainian attacks in the area.

It follows comments from Rusi research fellow Justin Bronk earlier that Ukraine is having success using Himars (mobile rocket launchers supplied by the US) strikes against Russia – allowing them to cut off supply lines.

Echoing a warning issued by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky last night, the Kherson officials also say it’s important for them to keep operational information about Ukraine’s troops to a minimum.

“Trust only official sources of information!” they tell anyone reading.
