Kizz Daniel’s refusal to take the stage at the much publicized concert on Sunday at Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena, Tanzania, has been clarified by the event’s show promoter.

Despite having a gold chain, according to Stephen Uwah, Kizz refused to perform since the airline had not delivered his suitcase, which held his other gold chains; he insisted he must wear them all for the performance.

“I gave him skin that was in harmony. I brought a variety of attire. But he insisted that he couldn’t perform without the gold around his neck just because the airline forgot to bring one of his luggage. I spent a minimum of $300,000 on that show because it was a premium show.

On Monday, Mr. Uwah said this on an Instagram live with Daddy Freeze, a celebrity from Nigeria.

He observed that Kizz Daniel’s manager, Paulo, had contacted the singer from America, sobbing and pleading with him the entire night to honor the performance, but the “Buga” hitmaker had been unyielding.

According to the show’s promoter, “Kizz Daniel insisted that the airline not bring his bag. He wore a good chain around his neck, yet he was ambitious.

Mr. Uwah, who disapproves of Kizz Daniel, promised to provide you a video of the performance. It wasn’t a joke, that show. The lowest priced table for that performance went for $5,000, and the most expensive one cost $10,000. I possess all of Paulo’s contracts. I reserved Kizz Daniel straight through Paulo.

Later on Monday, after failing to perform, Kizz Daniel was taken into custody.

At the Oysterbay Police Station, he was being held behind well guarded doors.

His release was announced Monday night on Twitter by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).

KD has been released, writes Ms. Dabiri-Erewa. However, his legal team will submit a report to the police tomorrow, and he will then go back to Nigeria.

Since the news of the singer’s detention went viral Monday afternoon, the singer’s management has remained silent.
