Former Ghanaian President John Dramani Maham said that after the government led by Akufo-Addo took over the highly successful Ghana, it was shrinking the economy of Ghana.
According to the former president, no matter how much money the Akufo-Addo government borrowed, there is nothing to show.
When asked on Facebook to question the economic record of the current government, the former Facebook said: “In 2012, Ghana’s economy was 41.6 billion U.S. dollars. When I was president, it was 54.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2016, and the nominal change was 130 in 4 years. One hundred million U.S. dollars.
This year, to 2020, when Akufo-Addo is the president, Ghana’s economy is expected to reach around US$66 billion, which means that the NPP government has changed the size of the economy by US$11 billion in four years. -It is worth noting that within four years; under my supervision it is 13 billion US dollars and under the NPP is 11 billion US dollars. The data is like this and can be verified. You can check the data yourself. ”
He said that since taking office, the government has borrowed 140 billion GHC, but there is nothing to show, which is different from the situation in which he borrowed 54 billion GHC during his tenure and used it for various infrastructure development in the country.
“At the same time, during my presidency, the current government has borrowed 140 billion guilders instead of 54 billion guilders.”
The flag bearer of the National Congress of Democracy, Mr. Mahama, said that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s commitment is high, but the implementation rate is not like he has many projects worthy of praise
