Any reorganization of his cabinet has been ruled out by President Akufo-Addo.
President Akufo-Addo stated in an interview with Tamale’s North Star FM that he believes some of the callers had ulterior agendas.
Therefore, he declared that he wouldn’t pay attention to the NDC’s intentions to topple his government.
“The calls are made for a variety of reasons, including the NDC’s desire to topple the government. There are others who are seeking employment.
Reorganization has been a hot topic in politics, with some urging the president to give his administration more vigor and vitality.
However, the President claimed that in order to assess whether his ministers are doing, he is regularly informed of their performance.
He defended the exceptional performance of the ministers under his administration. Therefore, he has no plans to rearrange his appointments any time soon.
“Many of them have produced excellent work for me. The amount of work they have produced is what I consider.
President Akufo-Addo continued, “If the output matches expectations, then I don’t have any strong reasons to heed the demand.”
Gabby Otchere-Darko, the founder of the Danquah Institute, has meanwhile urged the populace to exercise caution when making requests for ministry shuffles.
The NPP stalwart claims that President Akufo-Addo will only carry out such an exercise if necessary.
The President has the authority to rearrange the cabinet. He is a President who takes time to make appointments. But I think he’ll make the right choice if, in his wisdom, he decides that a reorganization is necessary,” he added on Accra-based Citi News.
