Ex-President Rawlings To Be Buried On January 27

The burial service for the late former president, Jerry John Rawlings will be held on Wednesday, January 27. This is according to a circular from the Ministry of Information and Regional Integration to all Diplomatic Missions, International Organisations and Honorary Consulates accredited to Ghana.

According to the circular dated Friday, January 8, the former President would be laid in state from Sunday, January 24 to Tuesday, January 26 at the Foyer of the Accra International Conference Centre from 9 am to 5 pm daily.

A mass will later be held on Tuesday, January 26, at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra from 9 am to 11 am.

The burial service, scheduled for Wednesday, January 27, will take place at the Independence Square in Accra from 9 am t0 11 am.

Former President Rawlings died on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
