Election 2020: NDC has already secured 47 of 55 seats lost in 2016 – Haruna Iddrisu

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has just recovered 47 out of the 55 parliamentary seats the gathering lost in the 2016 general races, Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu has uncovered.

Talking in a meeting with Berla Mundi on the New Day on TV3 Wednesday, September 16, the Tamale South official said the NDC has had the option to chip away at the difficulties that it experienced in the last races which prompted the gathering’s annihilation.

“The NDC in 2016 lost 55 parliamentary seats. By my appraisal and going into 2020 we effectively secure, subject to the races, around 47 of those seats back however we have to work more diligently so as to get it,” he said.

The previous Trade Minister under the Mahama organization included that “In the Northern [region] we are surrounding five seats, in the Upper West four seats, Central area around eight seats, one in the Volta Region.”
